Vetotop DecoFloor Grout
High performance, solvent-free, two-component, seamless epoxy resin (neat resin) as a grouting layer for decorative epoxy terrazzo flooring systems
Vetotop DecoFloor Grout is a high performance, solvent-free, two-component, seamless epoxy resin formulated for grouting epoxy terrazzo screeds. It is designed to fill surface pinholes, air voids, and micro-defects that result from grinding operations. The product is applied as a neat resin layer over Vetotop DecoFloor Screed layer to ensure a smooth, sealed surface prior to sealing or polishing. Vetotop DecoFloor Grout offers excellent surface wetting, high bond strength, and a dense finish, making it ideal for refining the appearance and performance of decorative epoxy terrazzo flooring systems. It is compatible with a wide range of decorative aggregates and pigmented screeds and can be easily overcoated with clear sealers for long-term protection.

Usage Instructions
The underlying Vetotop DecoFloor Screed must be fully cured, structurally sound, and free from dust, laitance, grinding slurry, and any other contaminants that may impair adhesion. All grinding operations must be completed and the surface allowed to dry thoroughly prior to grouting. Remove all residual fines and debris using industrial vacuum cleaning to ensure open pores and full exposure of pinholes. If required, lightly regrind or sand the surface to remove polishing residues or glazing that may affect grout penetration. Ensure ambient and substrate temperatures are within the recommended range at the time of application. Vetotop DecoFloor Grout should only be applied over clean, dry screeds free from surface moisture or chemical contamination.
Vetotop DecoFloor Grout is a two-component, pigmentable epoxy resin system, ready for on-site mixing. Ensure both Part A (resin) and Part B (hardener) are preconditioned to 18 – 25°C. Stir Part A briefly, then add Part B while continuously mixing at 300 – 400 RPM using a spiral paddle. Mix for 2–3 minutes until homogenous and streak-free. Do not dilute or extend pot life by adding thinners or solvents.
Following the initial grinding of the cured Vetotop DecoFloor Screed using 3 or 4 head mechanical grinding machine, the surface must be inspected for pinholes, air voids, and surface defects. Once all dust and grinding residue are removed, Vetotop DecoFloor Grout can be applied directly over the dry surface. The mixed grout should be poured onto the floor and worked firmly into the surface using a steel trowel or rubber squeegee, ensuring all pores, pinholes, and microvoids are completely filled.
Application should be performed systematically across the surface in multiple directions to ensure uniform penetration and to avoid entrapped air. Excess grout must be removed promptly to prevent surface build-up, which may interfere with subsequent polishing. Allow the grout layer to cure fully before proceeding with final grinding, polishing, and sealing operations as per system requirements.
At 25°C, Vetotop DecoFloor Grout has a pot life of approximately 60 minutes. Initial cure is typically achieved within 24 hours, while full mechanical and chemical cure occurs within 5 to 7 days. Foot traffic should be avoided during the first 24 to 48 hours to prevent surface damage or disturbance of the uncured material. Final grinding and polishing should only be carried out after the grout has fully hardened and cured under recommended conditions.
All tools should be cleaned with Vetonit Solvent XX400 immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
