Vetotop UC365
High Performance, two-component, elastomeric, aromatic polyurethane coating for traffic deck applications.
Vetotop UC365 is a high performance, two-component, elastomeric, pigmented, aromatic polyurethane coating designed for traffic deck applications. It enhances surface aesthetics of parking decks with a glossy, bright finish while ensuring long-lasting protection in both indoor and outdoor environments. Vetotop UC365 minimizes dirt pick-up, is easy to clean, and reduces slippage and tire squeaking. It is highly resistant to chemicals, abrasion, UV exposure, and adverse weather, ensuring durability even in hot and tropical climates.

Uses
- Suitable as a top coat on intermediate and exposed car park decks.
- Can be used as an intermediate layer on exposed decks requiring UV resistance, followed by a UV-resistant top coat.
- Ideal for industrial and commercial floors subject to heavy traffic and mechanical wear.
- Airport hangars and terminals; ensures chemical resistance in areas exposed to fuel spills, mechanical wear, and heavy loads.
- Ramps, loading bays, and logistic centers.
- Walkways and pedestrian zones.
Advantages
- Excellent impact and abrasion resistance.
- Superior flexibility.
- Easy to maintain.
- Noise reduction from tire movement.
- UV and weather resistant.
- Good chemical and oil resistance.
- Minimum dirt pick-up.
- Excellent surface grip; slip resistance.
- Glossy finish for aesthetic appeal.
Usage Instructions
The substrate must be clean, dry, and free from contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease, existing coatings, and surface treatments. Remove all dust, loose, and friable materials thoroughly before application, preferably by vacuum. Suitable preparation methods include light grit blasting, surface grinding, or similar techniques to achieve a sound, rough surface profile.
Any spalled, fractured or defected asphalt and concrete surface must be repaired to allow Vetotop UC365 to bond effectively to sound, monolithic surfaces. Use an epoxy mortar from the Vetorep ER range to repair all necessary areas before applying.
New concrete surfaces must have a minimum compressive strength of 25 N/mm2 and a pull-off strength of at least 1.5 N/mm2. Concrete must be at least 28 days old and have a moisture content of ≤5-6% before application.
If in doubt, conduct a test application to confirm suitability
Priming is essential prior to the application of Vetotop UC365 to ensure a smooth surface and effective adhesion. A suitable primer from the Vetoprime EP range is recommended. Depending on the substrate, use Vetoprime EP491 as a filmforming primer or Vetoprime EP490 as a penetrating primer to seal pores and prevent moisture interference from asphalt or concrete substrates.
To prepare, pour the entire contents of the hardener into the base container. Mix thoroughly using a slow-speed mixer. Apply the primer as a thin, continuous film using a roller or stiff brush, ensuring it is worked well into the substrate. Avoid pooling or excessive application. Allow the primer to achieve a tack-free state before applying the topcoat.
Proper priming is an essential step to provide a stable foundation for the product, ensuring improved bond strength and long-term performance.
Vetotop UC365 is supplied as a two-component product consisting of Part A (base) and Part B (hardener) ready for on-site use. To ensure uniform consistency before application, inspect each container for any settlement or separation. Stir the coating thoroughly using a mechanical stirrer or hand mixer for consistent product dispersion.
Mix the Part A (base) and Part B (hardener) components of Vetotop UC365 using a slow-speed (approximately 400 rpm) drill fitted with a spiral mixing head. Move the mixer around the pail to ensure thorough mixing and scrape the sides and bottom of the container to avoid unmixed material. Once homogeneous, transfer the mixture into a clean pail and remix for an additional 30 seconds to ensure consistency.
Apply Vetotop UC365 evenly using a roller or squeegee onto the primed, tack-free surface. The product should be applied at the recommended minimum consumption rate per coat, according to the desired system build-up. For slip-resistant finishes, aggregates can be incorporated into multi-coat systems.
When applying Vetotop UC365 as a topcoat, ensure even coverage for a uniform finish. Pay special attention to overcoating times, ensuring that subsequent layers are applied within the specified maximum overcoating intervals to guarantee strong adhesion and prevent delamination. Avoid excessive build-up or pooling to ensure a smooth and consistent layer. Allow each layer to cure adequately before applying additional coats.
Optimal curing is achieved when ambient temperatures are maintained between 10°C and 35°C. The service temperature range for Vetotop UC365 is from -20°C to +65°C.
All tools should be cleaned with Vetonit Solvent XX400 immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
