Usage Instructions

Compatible substrates: cementitious surfaces such as concrete, screed, self leveling, plastered walls. Also on tiled walls and floors.

All must be cured, sufficiently rigid, and clean of any surface contamination such as oil, dirt, grease, coatings, curing compounds, and laitance that may prevent proper adhesion. Tiled surfaces must be abraded.

If floor surfaces are not flat, then a leveling compound (vetotop CL530) is recommended. Any crack, or joint must be filled and repaired.

Prepared concrete, screed, plastered walls can be primed with vetoprime Decor clear and allow to dry to touch.

For tiled surfaces, light abrading of surface is recommended. Prime the surfaces with suitable primer or bonding gents from vetonit range.

If there is a risk of rising moisture, then a vapor barrier is needed. Consult Saveto.

Microcement Base: 15-20% by weight (3.75 - 5 L/25 kg bag)

Mixing should be done with a drill mounted rapid set-type mixer. Always add clean potable water first. Mixing duration should last for 2 to 3 minutes to insure proper color and material dispersion within the mix.

Mix enough quantity per area of application. Avoid creating cold joints.

Note: Conduct more than one trial to reach the desired finish. Ideal thickness: 2 to 5 mm.

Using the trowel or squeegee, spread the microcement base at 2 to 5 mm. While still wet embed glass fiber mesh and then smooth with steel trowel on it to ensure embedding the mesh.

Allow to dry for 12-24 hours. Sanding can be done to receive the next base or finish coat, priming is needed. If another base coat is needed,

mix and apply as per the above instructions. Alternatively; if non smooth surface is required then it can be considered as final coat and sealed directly

Cleaning all tools and equipment promptly with clean water.

The product is self curing. Allow to dry completely for at least 12 hours.

Depending on service conditions :

For light foot traffic: seal the surface with vetoseal UC773 or vetoseal AX774.

For heavy traffic, and inside wet areas: seal the surface with vetoseal UC775 or vetotop UC370.

Regular cleaning with soapy water is recommended. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may degrade the protective coating over time.
