Usage Instructions

The stone joints should be clean free from loose material, and any visible materials in the joint must be removed.

Prior to Vetonit Stone Joint Filler application, remove the spacers and ensure that the joints are uniform and their widths do not exceed the maximum width to avoid slumping.

Add to the mixing container 4.75 - 5.5 liters of water in addition to 0.5-1 liters of Vetonit Bond 2 for each 25 Kg bag of Vetonit Stone Joint Filler. Add the powder to the mixing water and mix with a mechanical mixer or a low-speed electric drill fitted with suitable paddle for 4-3 minutes, until a uniform, lump-free consistency is achieved. Allow the mixed material to stand for about 10 minutes and remix briefly without adding further water.

Vetonit Stone Joint Filler can be applied using appropriate spatula or rubber float, fill with pressure the joints completely with Vetonit Stone Joint Filler.

After the initial setting (usually 20-30 minutes at normal conditions) of the filling materials, remove the excess with a copper brush or damped sponge, then wash the surface with clean water.

It is recommended to remove filler from the surfaces before full setting of the materials. Failure to do so may result in difficulty in removing any remains and makes it necessary to use a mechanical means in cleaning, which may scratch the surfaces.

Vetonit Sone Joint Filler doesn’t need curing usually except during very hot & dry conditions. it is best cured by spraying water on the surfaces of applied materials every 12 hrs for 3 days. This will help in achieving uniform color, minimize risk of surface cracks and high mechanical strengths.
