Vetonit Latex tile grout

Latex Modified cementitious tile grout.

Latex Tile Grout is a two-component, cement-based, latex-modified grout. It is specially formulated for superior bonding properties as well as higher mechanical strength than standard cement-based tile grouts. It has high compactness, abrasion resistance, impermeability, and elastic property, which allow the grout to absorb certain deformation and vibrations.

Uses

  • Swimming pools, fountains, steam rooms, refrigerating rooms. External applications.
  • Floors exposed to heavy pedestrian traffic. Floors and walls exposed to vibration, high temperature variation, deflection. For grouting joints between high absorbent tiles.
  • For areas where high abrasion, water and chemical resistance is required.
  • latex tile grout can be used for both for internal and external applications.

Advantages

  • Multipurpose usage.
  • Excellent bonding characteristics.
  • Excellent curing properties
  • Excellent compression strength & abrasion resistance
  • It adheres well to various construction materials, including concrete, stone, etc.
  • Improves impermeability.
  • High resistance to shrinkage cracks.

Usage Instructions

Surface must be well cleaned and free from loose materials. Inconsistent parts, varnishes, grease, laitance, algae, must be eliminated through sand blasting or brushing.

For grout mortar preparation, pour 5.2–6.8 liters of water into the mixing container. Add a 20 kg bag of Vetonit Tile Grout powder and mix with a low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle until a uniform, lump-free consistency is achieved. Allow the mixed material to stand for about 5–10 minutes, then remix briefly without adding more water.

You can blend Vetonit Tile Grout manually for small quantities; however, you must maintain the correct ratio of powder to water. Do not add water to the mixture once the mortar grout begins to harden.

Spread the mixed mortar over the tiles joints and firmly pressed with rubbing pad covered with sponge rubber spatula, the grout is spread diagonally across the joints ensuring that the grout is pressed rmly into the joints.

Excess filler that remains on tiles shall be removed with same tool. After initial setting of 20 minutes, depending upon the ambient temperature and humidity, clean the tiles and remove all excess material with a wet sponge.

After full drying, clean the tile surfaces with dry cloth or dispensable cotton towels. When washing and drying the tiles, ensure tile joints are not rubbed too deep.

Vetonit Latex tile grout must be kept most for first 2 days after application to ensure good hardened properties are achieved.
